PURE NATURE FOR DOGS
In 2019 I moved with the dogs into a house with a garden. The small town of Hanstedt is 40 km south of Hamburg, right on the edge of the Lüneburg Heath Nature Reserve. A wonderful landscape for long walks with your dog. Here we registered our kennel "Grace'n Kelly" and got it certified by the FCI. We brought Mads, Berta and Emma with us. The beautiful Bubblan moved in. Of course, the dogs live with me in the house, love the garden, but even more so the little gate that releases us directly into the forest and heather. A great, simple one Dog life. In 2020 Berta's first official litter was born. From the combination I kept the 'wild' Hilde.
THE BREEDER
Breeding is a passion. Every breeder is driven by a vision.
Breeding is a creative process that works in slow steps, across generations, using the try and error method, because nature has its own plans. The dogs are my daily study program. I watch their behavior, monitor their health and ensure good food. I do it with pleasure and passion. I follow the breed, follow up which health problems there are, look for males for the bitches and exchange ideas with colleagues. Keeping animals always means having a team of competence by your side. A veterinarian is not just a veterinarian. It is important to know a good clinic, but also a trusted veterinarian nearby for emergencies to have.
THE BUYER
Breeding is a triangle of breeder, dog and buyer
An important element in breeding is communication with people. People who want a dog call every day. Many of them are beginners, that means they have never had a dog and therefore have no experience. Since the dog is still rare, some of the callers have never seen a DSG live and don't even know what to imagine.
The breed description of the DSG on the internet also encourages young families to trust a dog (easy to train, no hunting instinct, not shedding, ideal beginner dog, not overbred). However, it should be said to all of them that a DSG is also a completely normal dog and not a family cuddly miracle weapon. And just because it is difficult to get a DSG puppy, it does not mean that the breeding cannot be harmful to health.
In addition to the sometimes glorified ideas about living together with a dog, there is also the financial aspect. What does a dog cost? In the acquisition, in everyday life? Since very few people who want a dog need papers, it is also permissible to consider buying a dog without papers from a "hobby breeder" more cheaply. What is the difference? What are the consequences to expect? How should a dog grow up? I would be happy to clarify this and help you bring more clarity into your considerations.
OUR DOGS
DANISH SWEDISH FARMDOG
Our dogs are a colorful team. I can talk smart here, but Mads is a prime example of how NOT to buy a dog. My helper syndrome is beating to exactly where the clever breeder would retire. I have a lucky hand because I have chosen great dogs. Every animal is unique, an idiosyncratic, strong individual.
Finding this diversity and diversity in a breed is a rarity and a reason why the dog is so attractive to me is. In addition, there is the health, the robustness and the naturalness in handling. A small dog with a big heart and a strong will. A DSG.

"Here I want to be a dog" wrote the breed warden in her report to the VDH. A compliment that made us very happy ...
Each litter is carefully considered and selected. All of our girls live with us in the house. Every pairing is an experiment for us too. We carefully select the mating according to health criteria (HD status, PLL clear, but also other hereditary diseases such as bladder / kidney stones, stomach problems, necrosis, etc.), according to phenotypic appearance (the eye eats too) and above all the character. We do not breed according to line, but make sure that the genetic diversity is preserved, ie we pay attention to a low IK (inbreeding coefficient) and a high AVK (ancestral loss coefficient). The bitches receive special care and medical supervision during pregnancy and rearing. The babies also have a puppy room in the house. As a buyer, you will be taken with you from birth when you are rearing. Since the puppies can only be visited when they are 4 weeks old, there are virtual visits at the beginning. It's all transparent. From the 4th to 5th Week you can then visit the dogs. When they are about 9 weeks old, they take over 'their' puppies, vaccinated, chipped with a health certificate and papers.
